African American History Month Celebration Concert Series

March 4-7, 2021

Contemporary West Dance Theater celebrates its fourteenth annual African American History Month dance series with a masterful collection of ballets that pay homage to the African American experience. Included in this program CWDT will perform three audience favorites “Ebony Concerto” choreographed by Legendary choreographer Milton Myers, “Crashing Through” choreographed by Hope Boykin, former Principal Dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and “Take Five” by Founding Artistic Director Bernard H Gaddis. This Virtual Performance will also include the World Premiere of “Dunia” (Earth) a choreographic collaboration between Bernard H Gaddis and Resident Choreographer and Rehearsal Director Avree Walker.

Purchase a ticket on EventBrite to stream the video online, from the comfort of home. Viewings will start March 4, 2021 at 4:00pm PST and close March 7, 2021 at 11:59pm PST. Viewing is continuous and can be watched at anytime throughout the days.
